Prairie Daugherty AK: Eagle River
Alaska

Where I’m from:

I was born in CA and raised in Idaho.

Family:

I am married to the greatest guy and together we have lived all over the US for jobs, schooling and adventures. We have 5 children, 3 boys and 2 girls. I am excited to bring Singers Company into our lives and share its joys and blessings with my daughters.

Interests:

I have loved the performing arts all my life. I grew up in a musical family with a dad who had been something of a musical star in his younger years and who passed the theatrical passion on me. I directed my first play in 3rd grade and spent years singing and performing in musical groups, children's chorus and local theater.

I love teaching children, gardening, yard work and going on adventures with my husband. Together we climbed Mt Kilimanjaro with our oldest daughter and look forward to exploring the beauty of Alaska with our family. I enjoy reading good books with my kids and discovering the people, places and cultures of the world- past and present.

Schooling:

I have an Associates degree in International Relations from Ricks College and a Bachelors degree in Education and English as a Second Language (ESL) from the College of Idaho.

I am excited to bring Singers Company to Alaska and our Eagle River community. I firmly believe in its mission to offer a positive place for girls to find their voice and develop the confidence to use it through the joy and beauty of music.

Kim Hepworth AR: Elm Springs/Springdale
Arkansas

Where I’m from:

I was born and raised in Merced, California (right in the middle of the state), but have since lived all over the United States. I even spent over a year in Taiwan. Each  of these hold a special place in my heart. Now we get to call Arkansas home.

Family:

After working for 7 years, I decided to return to school. While there I met a man who surpassed my dreams. We have three beautiful children; two girls and a boy. I loved being a part of singing groups when I was young and wanted the same experience for my girls. My oldest loved being part of Singers Company in California and begged me to start one here.

Interests:

Singing has always been a big part of my life. Despite taking singing lessons throughout high school, I was too shy to perform. It was actually through a similar singing group that I finally gained the confidence to sing solos and perform. I am a huge believer in the mission of Singers Company and want other girls to benefit from it.

Schooling:

I graduated from BYU with a B.A. in American Studies. After seven years of working for non-profits and a for-profit business I decided to get a masters degree in School Psychology. At the same time, I was working with the young children at church. Those three years of grad school were some of the best because I got to spend so much time teaching, learning from, and spending time with children. I LOVED it.

Over the years we have seen our older children graduate from High School and move on to college, marriage, and careers. My youngest, Maggie, participated in Singers Company for a couple of years when she was in Elementary School, and now, as a High School student, she will be helping me lead a group of our own! Schooling:

I went to BYU, starting out in Theatre Arts & Secondary Education (so had lots of stage training), but eventually earned a BS in International Relations, after studying 6 months in Jerusalem, Israel, and almost 18 months near Tokyo, Japan. Katie Parker CA: Ladera Ranch
California

Family:

I have SEVEN children and 4 of which are girls that have participated in and/or now direct their own Singers Company.

Interests:

First and foremost I love Singers Company. I also enjoy cooking, the beach, and spending time with my family.

I founded Singers Company after a lifetime of experience as both a student and teacher of music and dance. While growing up in the small town of Merced, California, my mother, Kathy Callister, started a girls' performing group so my sisters and I could experience the joys of learning to sing, dance, and perform.

As a teenager, I was required to prepare for and fund the tuition portion of my future college education. Because of my interest and experience in music and dance and my reluctance to give up my vacation for a "summer job," my mother suggested I start my own performing group for little girls. I realized it could be the perfect way to earn extra money while remaining focused on my studies and other responsibilities. So I started Singer's Company in 1994 and have never stopped.

I love these young girls and the energy for life they have. We sing, we dance, we laugh " they bring such joy to my life and our community. There is so much good that comes from these groups that I felt it was time to share it and make a difference in this world!

Trisha Wuich CA: Ladera Ranch
California

Where I’m from:

Grew up in Highlands Ranch, Colorado but have now lived in Orange County for 20 years.

Family:

I have been married to my wonderful husband for 16 years and am blessed with my two babies: Belle (13 years old) and Hudson (10 years old)

Interests:

Music is really my number one passion in life.  It defines a lot of my journey and how I have found my confidence and identity as who God made me to be.  I have been performing in choirs and theatre groups since the age of 4 but the last 25 years of my life I have been heavily involved in leading worship at my local church. I also love leading in the Kids Worship Ministry there as well.

One of my absolute favorite things to do with my family is to travel to new and exciting places.  We are always on the go! Disneyland is our go to magical destination whenever we get the chance.  My family and I are also big foodies.  We are not opposed to trying adventurous and exciting foods whenever we get the chance!  We also love to cook together as a family and try new things.  Let’s just say we love new adventures!

Schooling:

I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Corban University in Oregon.

This degree allowed me to work at such amazing places as The Denver Post, Worship Leader Magazine and Saddleback Church. My career has been heavily steeped in music and production so I can’t wait to share my experience and knowledge as a woman who used to be that little girl who struggled with insecurity and confidence issues.  I only wish I could have had Singers Company in my life as a little girl to help build my confidence and help me find my voice early on.  I can’t wait to watch these little girls shine!

Robyn Miner CA: Ladera Ranch Mini
California

Where I’m from:

I was born and raised in Mission Viejo, CA.

Family:

I have been married for 14 years and have 3 children. My daughter has loved being a part of Singers Company for the past 2 years.

Interests:

I love people! I love to teach children, spend time being silly with my friends, dance around the house with my kids to loud music, whistle classical tunes, and run.

Schooling:

I graduated from BYU with a B.S. in Psychology.

I learned to love music and rhythm at a young age from being part of a big, musical family where I have many memories standing around the piano while my mom would teach me and my sisters to harmonize. When I was young, I was always so nervous to sing in public and would shy away from opportunities that came my way. If only we would've had something like Singers Company back then! Music is such an essential part of my life, it makes me happy and I see how much my own children need it and use it to express themselves through song and dance.

After college, I taught second and third grade at a local private school and have served as the children's chorister (ages 3-11) for several years at my church. More recently, I served as a leader over the 1-3 year olds and now I'm so excited to become a director and combine two things I love: music and teaching children!

I signed my daughter up for Singers Company two years ago and after the first performance, knew this was something special and something I wanted to be a part of. I have seen my daughter grow tremendously over the past few years. She is more confident in who she is and feels so safe and comfortable in the non-competitive environment Singers Company provides. It's a place where any girl can come to find joy in music and dance, make new friends, have fun, and be who they are! I'm so excited to be part of such a wholesome, uplifting organization that inspires little girls to grow in such a positive way.

In our family, we love to read, hike, and dance around the kitchen when we’re supposed to be doing the dishes!

Interests:

We've performed in over 60 Singers Company shows, and we love being Singers Company girls!   We were so lucky to be able to perform at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, opening the first show of the season for the Rockettes in November 2023.

Wendy and Lucy love to dance.  Wendy toured with the BYU International Folk Dance Team to Jordan, Greece, Bulgaria and Turkey, and directed the Young Leaders Performing Arts Company here in Merced.

Megan Heddlesten CA: Rancho Mission Viejo
California

Where I’m from:

I was born and raised in Southern California.

Family:

My husband, Mike, and I met while working on an ambulance. We started as partners on the job and ended up as partners for life!

Interests:

I enjoy traveling, boating, camping and hula dancing as well as singing. I also volunteer regularly in community events that support families for various causes.

Schooling:

I studied Psychology and worked in the medical field for several years, on the ambulance, in the ER, and in medical offices such as Veterinary, Optometry, Chiropractic and Internal Medicine.

I have been singing my entire life. I can't remember a time when I didn't have a song in my head or wasn't singing. I also grew up doing all kinds of dance. I never participated in any musicals or chorale groups because I was very shy. Finally in my late teens, I took voice lessons and started to sing in church. I use to make up songs as I sang them when I was very young. When I saw my daughter doing this, who was also very shy, I knew I had to find a place that would nurture and support her desire to sing. I knew we had found something magical after her first Singers Company class. She was happy and sang the whole way home. Over the next few weeks I saw my daughter start to come out of her shell and I knew we were in the right place. I also knew that I wanted to be a Singers Company director some day. I adore children, they are special little people and I love to see the world through their eyes. They have such fun personalities and their innocence is so sweet. I am delighted to be a Singers Company director and look forward to seeing your girls blossom and grow!

Sonja Zaugg CO: Parker
Colorado

Where I’m from:

I was born and raised in Provo, Utah, but I have also lived in South Korea and Dallas and Plano, Texas. I currently enjoy living in Parker, Colorado.

Family:

I grew up in a very loving and musical family. My mom was a performer and my dad wrote music for a living. My husband and I have four children, three of whom are grown.  We have one daughter still at home who is a Singers Company graduate! Our family is the center of our lives, and we jump at any opportunity to spend time together playing games, reading, cooking, going on travel adventures or being active in the mountains. Stephanie Richards FL: Middleburg
Florida

Where I’m from:

I was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada and my family and I recently relocated to beautiful Green Cove Springs, Florida.  We are excited to experience everything this state offers (besides the alligators, that is!).

Family:

My husband and I share one beautiful daughter, Mia.  We love our crazy life filled with learning and school assignments, music and dance lessons, and family fun days.

Growing up, I was blessed with musician grandparents who ignited my passion for music and singing.  My grandmother taught me to play piano at a young age and my grandfather (still the greatest tenor I have ever heard!) provided me with countless opportunities to perform as his accompanist.  It is important to me to give my daughter a musical upbringing such as I had, which is one of the many reasons I LOVE Singers Company.

Interests:

I have a great passion for creating opportunities for my daughter and the community of girls that surrounds her that bolster self-esteem and confidence and that foster creativity and fun, which is another reason that I LOVE Singers Company.

My personal hobbies and interests include ambitious home DIY projects (the more power tools and lumber involved, the better!), dance fitness, running, downhill skiing and almost any other outdoor adventures.

Schooling:

I graduated from University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a Bachelor's of English coupled with a Paralegal certification and have enjoyed a challenging career in the legal field.

As a young girl, I always loved performing in front of an audience, whether dancing, singing or playing the piano. I've been part of musical plays and musical productions all through my high school and college years and really enjoyed myself. Although I work, I'm glad I am at home doing things that I love to do- teaching music!

I met my sweet husband in College and we have been married almost 6 years. We have two precious children, a 5-year old red-headed daughter named Madelynn, who is as fiery as her hair, and a sweet little 18 month old boy, Zachary. They adore each other and we adore them!

Interests:

Anything outside! We love camping and hiking, and are so excited to be near mountains here in Sparks! I also love running, playing tennis, reading, baking, and playing games with my family. As long as I'm with people I love, I think I could enjoy just about anything!

Schooling:

I got my Bachelor's Degree from Brigham Young University in Spanish Teaching. I taught Spanish in a Dual Immersion Program when I lived in Utah and absolutely loved it!. I did musical theater in High School and choir throughout High School and college. I also had many teaching experiences throughout my life. I've always felt like being a teacher is like being on a stage, always performing for my students to keep them engaged, and it is something that invigorates me.

I am so excited to be a part of Singer's Company. I've recently felt so drawn to the program and I look forward to being a part of something special and powerful!

Melissa Smith ID: Meridian
Idaho

Where I’m from:

Hi! I’m Melissa Smith and I’m a South Jersey girl who loves the mountain west. My family recently lived in Las Vegas and now have relocated to Idaho for work -and we are so happy to be here!

I love the sunshine and beaches out west, and am glad to once again have the leaves crunching under my feet during a beautiful fall October day! I’ve been teaching Singers Company for 6 years, along with a stint in Pre-K music, and it is honestly just so much fun! I love seeing the girls shine and watching a program come together- it’s magic every time!

Family:

My husband and I have been married for 23 years and I’m a busy mom of 4 amazing teenagers. They’re my favorite humans! In fact, my 3 girls are the reason I found Singers Company in the first place. They all grew up in and graduated from Singers Company and still randomly sing and dance their favorite songs- I love it!

Interests:

I’m constantly reading and am a huge bibliophile. In essentials, I love reading, writing, the outdoors, my family and friends- and singing, of course!

I have a deep and abiding love of all things British - especially Premier League Football- Go Liverpool!  I sang for three years with the Las Vegas Master Singers, the choir in-residence at the Smith Center for the Las Vegas Philharmonic. That was an absolute dream come true! And in this new phase of my life in Idaho, I’m also a professional working mom, who writes blogs, and represents a nationally growing brand; which just goes to show that we all have lots of untapped talents to explore!

Schooling:

I graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Health Promotion and Education. I’ve used my planning and implementation skillset to work in the non-profit sector with the Muscular Dystrophy Association, own a Dream Diners franchise, teach Pre-K music as a private contractor, and now help run brand partnerships for Shelfology.com- which is so, so fun.

Singers Company has been and continues to be an absolute light- my happiest place- as I’ve worked with all of the amazing families and girls who have come through my classes in the last 6 years! I love the mission and purpose, and time and time again, as I  see the confidence and pure joy in each little face, I am so glad to be part of this! It has given me a chance to lift and love, and build happiness and confidence in my little piece of the world. Come talk to me and see what all the fun is about!

Angee Duvall ID: Rigby
Idaho

Where I’m from:

I grew up all over the country as an Air Force brat!  I loved my childhood!  My parents made every move an adventure, and we got to see and experience so much culture through the years.

Family:

I am the oldest (and only girl) of four children.  I met and married the love of my life in college.  He has the biggest heart of anyone I know and makes me laugh every day of my life.  We have three children—2 boys with a girl sandwiched in the middle—and a goldendoodle.

Interests:

I love outdoor activities, music, baking, reading, traveling, crafting, playing games, and spending as much time as I can with my family! We love to make even the mundane an adventure!

Schooling:

I graduated with a degree in Early Childhood Education and have taught school officially for over 10 years.  I volunteer weekly in my children’s classrooms and teach children weekly through my church group, as well as teaching these sweet girls in Singers Company.  I also train teachers become better at what they already do.  I just can’t get away from it; teaching is in my heart and soul!

Why I became a director:  I fell in love with Singers Company when my own little girl joined years ago.  She’s on the quieter side, and I watched her confidence grow through being in this group.  I was amazed when she stood up at that first performance and sang with confidence.  The pride on her face afterwards made my heart swell.  As I’ve directed my group through the years, I have seen this happen to many girls: Girls who won’t even look me in the eye during the first couple of practices, stand in June and sing a solo in front of a crowd of 200 people and don’t even bat an eye at it.  It’s pretty incredible to watch!

We live in a world where girls are constantly being told they’re not good enough.  They’re not skinny enough.  They’re not pretty enough.  They’re not talented enough.  Our girls ARE beautiful.  They ARE special.  They ARE good enough.  Just the way they are!  Singers Company helps these girls develop confidence in their own beauty and in their own talents.  As a Singers Company director, I hope to instill a confidence that will last a lifetime because they are amazing; and confident girls turn into confident women, who can make a huge difference in this world!

Illinois

Where I’m from:

My name is Jody, and I grew up on a farm in Waterloo, IL.

Family:

I have 2 daughters, Leah 16 & Jenna 5.  I love spending time with my girls, whether it’s swimming, riding bikes, going for walks, or watching a movie together.

Interests:

Some of my favorite things are summer nights, fall campfires, all Italian food, ice cream, a good chick-flick, all things beach, and quoting lines from Friends!

Schooling:

I graduated from Waterloo High School, and received my Bachelors in Marketing from St. Louis University.

I have loved music and singing since I was a little girl.  I grew up singing around the piano with my 3 older sisters. I sang in chorus all through school, and was a member of the Show Choir.  I made All-State and All-State Honors my junior & senior year of high school.  I received a music scholarship to attend St. Louis University and was selected to sing with the SLU Mastersinger’s Choir. This elite group traveled to Spain & France on a concert tour as well as performed locally around St. Louis.  After college, my sister and I co-founded an invitational choir within our community called Hometown Harmony.  We have 45 members and perform 2 concerts per year.  We’ve always tried to incorporate children into our concerts.  It brings me joy to watch a child sing and perform, but it’s truly magical when a child transforms inside and their confidence begins to grow.  That’s when their passion kicks in!  I’m so excited to bring Singers Company to the children of my community!

Jessica Doerr MO: Kirkwood Sunset Hills
Missouri

Where I’m from:

I grew up in the small town of Dupo, Illinois, where I spent most of my childhood performing, singing and dancing.  I currently live in Columbia, Illinois with my husband, four children and two doggies.

Family:

I am the youngest of three girls. I grew up with a family that had a strong love for music. Growing up singing with my sisters everyday was the norm in our household.  We would sing harmonies and it always made me feel so good to know that people enjoyed listening to me sing.  Singing was my favorite thing to do. From a very young age my sisters were always so encouraging and made me feel so special. It was through the confidence that they had in me which gave me a love for learning not only to sing, but to play multiple instruments.

I enjoyed singing in the choir at church and going on mission trips with my youth group. It was on a mission trip that I met my husband Darren.

Darren and I have been married for 18 wonderful years. He has always been my rock and so supportive of my endeavors. He is the love of my life and my best friend. We have four amazing children together. Three sons and a daughter. Our oldest son Jacob has a love for music as well and enjoys being a part of the Columbia High School marching band, pep band and choir. Our middle sons, Caleb & Micah, enjoy playing sports. They both play football, baseball, and basketball. We spend a lot of time watching them play and develop their skills. I love watching them play! They are so dedicated and it makes me so proud. Our youngest child is our daughter Jocelyn. She loves singing, dancing and performing. She is one of the kindest people I have ever known. Though she is only 6 years old, she is wise beyond her years. My family is my everything and I am so thankful to have all of them in my life.  They bring so much happiness and make my heart so full.

Interests:

I love singing, dancing and baking. I own a small cookie business called Josie’s Cookie Jar. I make custom royal icing cookies and teach cookie decorating classes. I am also a girl scout troop leader for my daughters daisy group. I love my girl scouts! They are the sweetest bunch! They are my second family!

I fell in love with Singers Company when my daughter joined last year. I knew it was special because she was so excited to go every week. She would tell me things like, "Mommy do you know that I am special?  Did you know that you are special too!  Everyone is! Everyone is special in their own ways"

I couldn’t believe my five year old was being reached on such a deep level. I watched her grow in confidence as she learned her songs and dances. She was so proud to show us what she learned after every practice when she got home.

I attended my daughter’s first performance and instantly got chills. I watched as some of my girl scouts, who are normally a little on the shy side, came out of their shell. I was amazed watching them sing with such confidence. My daughter performed a solo and watching her eyes light up with pride made me decide right there on the spot that this is what I wanted to do. We live in a society where girls are constantly judged, even worse, they judge themselves. We are told that we are fat or not good enough and as heartbreaking as it is, as young girls and even women, we all buy into it and start believing it sometimes.

Every single girl that day at the performance was beaming with joy!  It was at that moment that I knew I had to be a part of this life changing, confidence building, beautiful, wonderful program!!!  Not only was it everything that I have always loved to do, but I knew I wanted to be the change that so many of us want to see. I wanted to be a part of girls' lives and bring that smile, that joy, that confidence to their tiny faces.

At Singer’s Company I will do everything in my power to teach every girl that they are strong, beautiful, talented, wanted and loved!  That they matter!  I will also teach them to hold others in their heart with kindness. Show everyone grace.  As a Singers Company director I hope to instill a confidence that will last a lifetime. Teaching them not only to love others but to love themselves and all of the qualities that make them uniquely them!  Teaching kindness, confidence, spreading happiness and most importantly having fun!

Where I’m from:

I grew up in Blue Springs, MO. I was the third of nine children.

Family:

It was always my dream to be a mom, and I have been blessed with some of the best kids around! Yes, I’m biased! I have 3 boys and 2 girls. My daughter, Karleigh, passed away in 2005 after many health challenges. She continues to inspire my life in many different ways. My husband and I have been married 3 years. He has 3 adult children who are wonderful. I am grateful for the blended family we have created!

Interests:

In 2014, while living in North Carolina, I had the incredible opportunity to be a Singers Company director for 3 years. I LOVED directing all the sweet girls in my class, especially my own daughter! I was sad when I had to let it go so I could pursue a nursing degree, but knew that was the best choice for my family and I.

In 2021, my family moved back to MO, close to where I grew up. I had always thought about starting another Singers Company group, and now it is finally time.

I absolutely LOVE the mission and goal of Singers Company! Building the confidence in young girls not only inspires them to be their best and to share their voice, but also those around them. This includes me as their director! I learn so much from them! Their smiles are contagious! I have seen firsthand how Singers Company can give young girls confidence and an opportunity to shine!

Schooling:

I graduated as an Registered Nurse from Watts School of Nursing in North Carolina in May of 2020. I was able to get through my rigorous coursework as a single mom, thanks to the generous and amazing support of the best parents in the world! I have spent most of my time as a nurse working in hospitals (pediatrics to adults), but currently work in an outpatient surgery center. I love my patients of all ages!

Natalie Glynn NV: Doral Academy Saddle

Where I’m from:

Hi!  I’m Natalie Glynn!   I am a New Hampshire native, raised in the small town of Gorham, New Hampshire along with my 2 sisters.  I lived there for most of my life until 2011, when the circus called!  My husband and I ran away with the circus in 2011 when we joined up with the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus Gold Unit.  He played bass in the show-band, and I taught the K-2 students as well as the nursery children.  That has been one of the most exciting adventures of my life!  We traveled the country, were in a side band that performed in many of the different towns we visited and got to be in a family that would forever change our lives!  When the show closed we returned to NH and I taught at the Whitefield Elementary School until our big move to Las Vegas in 2018.  I am loving all this sunshine and thoroughly enjoying not having to shovel feet of snow in the winter!

Family:

I am enjoying married life with my incredible husband Danny.  So far, our family consists of our two cats, Alice and Figaro and our dog Alfie.  I am the youngest of 3, and Dan is the youngest of 6.  We have nieces, nephews, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, parents and a grandmother in various states.  We get to visit with everyone during the winter holidays together.  I am fortunate enough to have summers off as a teacher and am able to see many of our relatives over the summer.  Even though there is great distance between us physically,  we remain close.

Interests:

I love singing, playing my ukulele at home and in my classroom with my kindergarten students.  I enjoy cooking, watching movies and spending time with my family.   I am incredibly passionate about teaching and working with young children.  Snow cones at the Purple Penguin are my favorite weekend treat on Sundays!  Elvis Presley is my favorite singer of all time, I have been collecting/loving his music since I was around 4 years old.  My favorite place to visit is Storyland in Glen NH.  I still get a season pass there and go as much as possible with my family during the summer break!

Schooling:

I attended Plymouth State University in Plymouth, NH.  I originally intended to go to school to teach music, but changed my path to Elementary Education K-8 and am so glad I did!  I get to teach all subjects and incorporate music and movement into everyday routine.  I graduated from PSU Cum Laude in 2009 and I have been working with children both in a traditional and a non-traditional setting.

Where I’m from:

I was “Sooner born and Sooner bred” in Oklahoma City, and grew up witnessing just how strong Oklahomans really are! There truly is no place like home!

Family:

My husband Ryan and I have been married almost 13 years, and we have the 3 best kids in the whole world! Saylor, our oldest daughter is 15. Our middle child and only son Samuel is 12, and our youngest girl is Evie, who is 9 already!

Growing up, I was fortunate enough to have an aunt that owned a successful dance studio nearby. Having had such a positive experience in dance growing up, there was no question that when I had each of my girls, I wanted to give them the same opportunity that was given to me! So many life lessons I learned there- commitment, teamwork, and tenacity to name a few! My love of stage performance and also for music started there as a competitive dancer, and what a joy it is to watch my own girls making those same memories today!

My son Samuel loves all things sports and is gearing up to begin his Spring baseball season! A perfect day for me is sitting outside in my fold-up chair, in the beautiful Oklahoma weather (with a Diet Coke in hand), watching my boy play ball! The experiences our entire family have had, opportunities to travel, and friendships we’ve made through dance and baseball have been some of life’s biggest blessings! I try to live each new day in gratitude for this crazy and amazing life!

Interests:

I am passionate about the inclusion of ALL girls, and recognize they are our future! Now more than ever, our precious girls need a “safe place to land” in a group of like-minded girls to lift up and encourage one another! I love that Singers Company focuses so strongly to reiterate, our focus is not on competing with each other or even our performances, but to instill a sense of confidence in each one of our special group members. Singers Company is so much fun!

I went to the University of Oklahoma and graduated from the OU College of Nursing in 2003.

Katrina Robison TX: Haslet
Texas

Where I’m from:

I was born and raised in the beautiful mountains of Utah. Since I’ve been married we've lived all over the US and in South Korea while my husband was serving in the military and we were attending school. We decided to make Texas our home, and have been here for 7 years already and LOVE it!

Family:

I’m married to my best friend and we have 6 amazing kiddos!  Two girls and four boys ranging in age from 2-19! We all love music and it is a constant presence in our home in some way or another.

Interests:

I love music in all forms and thrive when I am able to teach it! There is so much joy that comes from helping to instill a love of music in others! I have directed Singers Company groups in Chicago IL, Rockwall TX, and now here in Haslet! Its my favorite!

I also love the outdoors - biking, hiking, swimming, camping, beach days...just being outside! I love chocolate, pjs, cute shoes, good music, kids, sunshine, hammocks, and the smell of a new book.

Cher Castle TX: Keller
Texas

Where I’m from:

I grew up as a country girl in Montana but got to Texas as soon as I could after bouncing around to Utah, Alaska, and Massachusetts! We've been in Texas for 10 years and are proud to call it home!

Family:

My husband and I have been married for 17 years and we have 3 kiddos (2 girls, 1 boy). Our family motto is to "Work hard, Play hard" and we find they often go hand-in-hand! We have a hobby ranch in the country where we work up a sweat doing lots of projects plus a fair share of playing and just enjoying being outdoors. We love DIY home projects, Saturdays on the soccer fields, skiing, beach trips, and celebrating ALL the holidays!

Interests:

I love putting my creativity to work in many ways (party planning, digital design, scrapbooking, home decorating) and I LOVE music...always have!  I learned from my mom (who taught piano for 40 years) how to sing, play piano and organ. I taught piano lessons alongside her during my high school years. I was a percussionist (still am "unofficially" ... just ask my kids! I am always "drumming" on something: the steering wheel, the kitchen counter, or their bellies before bedtime!) I've always been a sucker for a good beat! I teach my kids piano and we are often practicing a song to sing at church or dancing around the house with microphones.

Schooling:

I graduated from BYU (Utah) in 2008 with a Bachelor's in Secondary Education and Health and a minor in Driver's Education. In short, I taught junior high 'Health' and high school Drivers Education before becoming a mom! I LOVE to teach in various capacities... and I find it really true that "to teach is to learn"...there is always something more to learn!

I am a BIG believer in the positive, influential power of music!  It is both a research-based fact and an intangible truth! There are so many things from my childhood that are long forgotten, but it baffles (and humors) me at times the things I remember that were put to song! They are still vivid in my mind accompanied by happy memories! I love that Singers Company provides a space where young girls can share their voice and create happy memories, learning valuable skills along the way. Happy girls can change the world! Over many years, I've watched my nieces, daughters of many friends and my own girls participate and perform in Singers Company...they all radiate light and joy! What a wonderful gift for me to be able to teach, love and have a front-row seat to watch these awesome girls SHINE!

Schooling:

I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Speech Language Pathology/Audiology.

I am a Singers Company director because I love Singers Company and have seen it work in my own daughters' lives, and the lives of hundreds of girls as I have been a director in California the past 10 years. All 5 of my daughters participated as young girls and they LOVED it! Their confidence in their ability to perform increased immensely through opportunities to sing and dance and perform solos in performances. The confidence which my girls have gained has translated into other areas of their lives as they have continued to grow. There is a lot of joy which comes from music. You can't help but feel happy when you are singing or dancing. It is great that these girls get to experience that joy at a young age and that they get to feel how music can bless their lives and the lives of those around them. The fact that Singers Company allows every girl to shine makes it that much more amazing. Every girl can feel like she is a star. There is no competition with any of the other girls in the group. It is a wonderful thing. I can’t wait to continue as a Singers Company director in Alpine, UT. It has become a huge part of my family’s life and I can’t wait to bring it to more families in our community!

I am so privileged to have the opportunity to be a director for singers and associate with amazing young girls! I know that they are our future and the future is very bright! Singers Company is helping these young women on their path to making a positive difference in the world and preparing them for all the future has in store for them.

I auditioned at Brigham Young University to be in the Piano Performance major in 2005 and was accepted . I started studying with Dr. Richard Anderson my Freshman year, but decided to explore some other areas of study while continuing to take lessons from Dr. Anderson on the side. I am so excited to be directing Singers Company once again! I LOVED my girls in Naperville and am so excited to be bringing such a wonderful opportunity to the girls in Fruit Heights. I love how the girls get praised and reinforced for every effort in class. It really builds their confidence and is such a positive experience for everyone involved. The performances are so much fun! We need more happy people in the world- and Singers Company is really strengthening these young girls!

I grew up in Utah, in the Salt Lake area, but have moved to multiple states (including New Mexico and Idaho) as an adult, while I helped put my husband through school and paid off school loans!

Family:

I am the second oldest of four children. I am also married to my favorite person, who makes me laugh every day. We have been married for 16 years and we have five amazing kids (1 boy, and 4 girls) ranging in ages 6-15. We also have some chickens and an outdoor cat named cupcake.

I love to sing and dance, and just be active! I teach Zumba and Zumba Gold fitness classes, and also love biking, and lifting weights.  As a family, we love to hike, play pickleball, basketball and I especially love disc golf!  I spend a lot of time with siblings and parents too, (now that we all live close again) and we enjoy playing board games and yard games together. I love to listen to books on tape and podcasts as I work around the house.

Schooling:

I have an associates degree from Snow College, where I minored in music and majored in Elementary Education. I was in the College's Show Choir, and I also worked with special needs children in the Elementary school in Ephraim while I was there.

I have taught private voice lessons, on and off (between moves and babies) for 15 years. I have also taught a mommy and me music class out of my home for a number of years to children ages 0-5 years old. I absolutely love music and love to share my passion with young girls as we sing, dance, and learn together!

As I have dived into Singers Company, I am so thrilled to be apart of something so amazing. I feel strongly about sharing music and having fun, but even more about building confidence in our young girls! We live in a world where girls are constantly being told they're not good enough. They're not skinny enough. They're not pretty enough. They're not talented enough. Our girls ARE beautiful. They ARE special. They ARE good enough. Just the way they are! Singers Company helps these girls develop confidence in their own beauty and in their own talents. It is never a competition. But instead, we lift each other and celebrate our successes together.  As a Singers Company director, I hope to instill confidence that will last a lifetime because they are amazing!! I truly believe that confident girls turn into confident women, who can make a huge difference in this world!

Camille Anderson UT: Provo
Utah

Where I’m from:

I grew up in Merced, California.

Family:

I fell in love with a composer, my husband Micah, and we have two wonderful sons. Our life is FULL of music and dance parties. It's a great way to live!

Interests:

I enjoy running to have the physical experience etched into my body and mind that I can set lofty goals and work a little bit each day to reach them. After running a marathon, I'm convinced that anyone can do anything!

Schooling:

I studied Recreation Management at Brigham Young University. While in college, I taught Math and Reading at a private Montessori school.

I've been directing Singers Company in Utah since the franchise became available in 2011. I live in Provo with my husband, Micah, and our two wonderful sons. I grew up in Merced, California where I participated in Katie Parker's special summer sessions of Singers Company for older girls. We had so much FUN getting ready for our performances! I've remained friends with several of the girls I sang and danced with then. It was absolutely unforgettable.

When I heard that Singers Company would be available across the nation, I knew I had to be a part of it. I love everything about it! We have so much fun singing and dancing together each week. We learn more about each other and become better friends. I love the girls in my groups and it is truly inspiring to feel their unassuming love in return. We share that love and joy with the community when we perform each season. It's amazing to me how much good comes from this group - for me, the girls, and our neighbors.

When I'm not having fun with my girls, I'm having fun with my boys! Family is everything to me and I feel very lucky to be at home with mine. My mother, siblings, and their families all live within forty-five miles of us and we are very much a part of each other's lives. This is invaluable to me.

People, Love, and Happiness are the most important things in my life. Singers Company openly reflects what I value most. I am honored to direct these young girls to all the good that is Singers Company.

Bianca Amaller UT: Sandy/Draper
Utah

Where I’m from:

I was born in Denver, CO. My family moved to Salt Lake City, UT when I was 3.

Family:

I am the middle of five children born to a Brazilian mother and American father. Classical music has surrounded me as long as I can remember: My dad played classical piano (and only listened to classical music and opera), and my mom was a classical ballerina, eventually opening her own school of classical ballet in our home.

Interests:

I am extremely passionate about music. I’ll admit that one of my inner nerds is that I love choral music (I was in a lot of singing groups growing up). I especially love barbershop music! Singing is far and above my favorite musical expression, but songwriting, playing the piano, and dancing are other ways in which I love to experience music.

Outside of music, I am very active. I love to run, walk, hike, paddeboard, kayak, and anything else that involves exploring or being outdoors. I would like to say that I have a healthy sense of adventure. I also love spending time with my wonderful husband and amazing nieces and nephews. I love being a “super auntie”!

Schooling:

Bachelor of Science Business Marketing, University of Utah (with honors).

Becoming a Singers Company Director was like a sock finding its long-lost mate. It blends everything that I am passionate about together in one: music, dance, character-building with our youth, and being a little silly.

Throughout my life, I have gravitated toward working with youth. Whether it was through church or community outreach, I have been working with youth since I was a teenager. I have also spent the last several years of my career in the human and leadership development fields. I absolutely love teaching the principles that help people and organizations communicate better and lead happier, more balanced lives. I have always felt that these skills need to be taught at a much younger age; hence why I am so excited about the Singers Company. It is not only teaching a skill (music and dance) but also teaching interpersonal skills, and building the character of our young girls.

Music and dance have been the air I breathe all of my life. I am ecstatic about being a Singers Company Director because it allows me to share this passion, energy, silliness, and warmth with these wonderful girls.

I have seen first-hand what Singers Company can do for a community. First and foremost, Singers Company provides an atmosphere where every girl is accepted just as they are. I have seen girls flourish into happier and more confident young ladies. I have seen close friendships form, I’ve seen the joy their performances bring into the lives of parents and communities, and I’ve seen how much fun they are having in the process.

It’s been said that the hand that rocks the cradle rules the world, and I truly believe that. These girls will eventually be leaders in their own lives, families, and communities. Strong and confident women literally rule the world, and I am committed to being one of the hands that builds the amazing women of tomorrow.

Leslie Sticht UT: Saratoga Springs

Where I’m from:

I was born and raised in Salt Lake City, UT. After college my husband and I moved away for 9 years for work. We lived in California, Texas, then again in California because we missed it so much. Three years ago we move back to Utah to be closer to family and we have loved every minute! I really missed my family and the mountains!

Family:

I am the youngest of 6 kids so I always wanted a big family. My wonderful husband and I have been married for 17 years and we have 5 awesome kids (2 girls, 3 boys). They constantly amaze me with their talents, intelligence and their ability to forgive and love others. We love to play games and sports together, to go hiking and camping and to watch movies. Spending time with my family is one of my favorite things!

Interests:

I have so many things that I am interested in, I love finding and developing new talents. I have always loved singing; I sang all the time as a child. I'm sure I drove my family crazy because I would sing the same parts of songs over and over. I still love singing and I find myself making up songs about everything, even brushing your teeth. I also love drawing, painting, crafting, exercising, dancing, hiking, camping, baking, gardening, nature....there are so many things. I love being creative and teaching others to be creative.

Schooling:

I went to the University of Utah, Utah Valley State College (the days before it was a University), and finally finished up at BYU. I received my BA in Visual Arts. I have taught children for most of my adult life through church, preschool and art lessons. I love children and teaching them brings me so much joy. I love to see the pride that comes from learning something new, overcoming fears, or from accomplishing something that is hard.

I am so excited to be a part of Singers Company! My daughters were in Singers Company in California and I fell in love with the program. I witnessed a wonderful change in their confidence. They went from being too shy to sing or talk in front of people to singing a solo with confidence. They made life-long friends, we were so sad to move away from Singers Company. I am grateful for this opportunity to be a director. I love seeing the joy that music and dance brings to people. Not just to the performers, but also to the people enjoying the performance. It almost always brings tears to my eyes. I can't wait to bring Singers Company to the sweet girls of Saratoga Springs and to our community as we share our voices.

Isabel Malherbe UT: Spanish Fork
Utah

Where I’m from:

Born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah

Family:

I am the youngest of five children born to a Brazilian-American family. Music and dance were (and still are) family values: my father is an avid classical pianist (though he doesn’t think so) and opera fanatic, and my mother was a ballet dancer and directed her own ballet program in our home. I married my wonderful husband in 2004. We live in Spanish Fork with our children--one of which is a Singers Company girl.

Interests:

I love, love, love music! Singing is my greatest artistic passion with piano and dance tying for second place. Other life essentials include family time, playing with dogs, running, reading, baking, and a good laugh. I enjoy creating video and music media and will sometimes pull an all-nighter if the creativity bug bites me.

Aside from being a wife and mother, my GREATEST interest is Singers Company and all of the special relationships fostered there. These girls are TRULY dear to my heart, and they enrich my life tremendously. Part of my life’s work is to contribute to their precious lives in any way that I can.

MY MOTTO for EVERY Singers Company girl is this:

“Use what talents you possess: the woods would be very silent if no birds sang there except those who sang best.” (Henry Van Dyke)

My goal is to get every “little bird” to share her voice, because her voice matters!

Schooling:

COLLEGE:

  • Bachelor of Arts: Political Science, Brigham Young University
  • Associate of Science: Legal Studies, Utah Valley University

ARTISTIC EDUCATION:

  • Nearly a decade of vocal training under the BYU legend, Flora Nielsen
  • Many years of (forced) piano and (forced) ballet lessons in my mother’s ballet school. (Thanks, mom! I see the wisdom in it all now! Haha!)

Where I’m from:

I was born and raised in Wells, Nevada. I lived in Las Vegas for 12 years before settling in Stansbury Park, Ut.

Family:

I have been married to my best friend and love of my life for 22 years. We have 4 wonderful children that make life a fabulous adventure.

Interests:

I love to workout, eat, boat, travel, and spend time with my friends and family doing just about anything.

Schooling:

I have an Associates Degree in Liberal Arts.

I fell in love with Stansbury Park my very first visit, and knew it was the perfect place to live and raise a family. I’m so proud to call Stansbury Park my home and to offer young girls in the community such a fun, positive, uplifting, and creative outlet. I’m so thrilled that my own girls grew up enjoying and benefiting from being apart of Singers Company.

I have been involved with dance and music since I could walk. I studied and competed in dance for 10 years before turning to cheerleading in high school, and continuing to cheerlead on scholarship for two years in college. Besides my current gig of singing in the car with my kids, I have been on various school and church choirs. I believe there is little else in this world that can bring you as much instant joy as singing and dancing.

I love everything about singers company! It is a difficult challenge in the world today to raise young girls into confident, strong, and successful women. Singers Company gives young girls the foundation to grow in confidence, personal strengnth, and to succeed in so many aspects of their life. The best part is that it’s soooooo much fun!!! Singers Company really gives little girls the chance to shine from the inside out!

Although 2 of my girls are too old for Singers Company now, they love reminiscing over the songs their younger sisters are learning and it’s so fun to see them bond over these fun songs!

Interests:

Music has always been a love of mine.  I danced and cheered and as I got older shifted my focus to singing and performance.  I performed with the high school show choir and loved our musicals.  In college, Showtime Company of Ricks College filled my days with music as I continued to study voice and performance.  I also enjoy working with wood, gardening, sewing, reading, photography and creating things to add beauty anywhere and everywhere.

Schooling:

I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Utah State University, and then taught music and 1st grade before starting my family.  I love being a Singers Company director. Not only has music and dancing been a life-long passion of mine, but I have seen the good it has brought into the lives of my children. After a Singers Company class, they feel like they can conquer the world as they sing the fun new music they will soon be performing! I’m thrilled to bring this opportunity to girls.  I believe that wholesome music, combined with the confidence performing can bring, is a powerful skill/blessing that will benefit these girls through their entire lives.

Where I’m from:

I would consider myself an Arizona girl but have also lived in California, Utah, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Germany before landing here in Washington.

Family:

I am married to a wonderful man full of creative ideas. We have four fabulously fun children (1 boy and three girls).

Interests:

I love doing anything with my family! We love to travel and explore, we also love to cook and bake. We love hiking, working in our yard and garden, and playing sports (most often tennis or soccer). We love board games and Friday Night Movie Nights at home. We love celebrating holidays and making parties out of just about any occasion. We love crafting and making messes! Once the kids are in bed I also love to read or watch a mystery show with my husband.

I am so excited to be a Singer's Company Director! We love to sing in our family! It is even a family rule that we can't sing at the table because we took too long eating meals! Music is such a wonderful part of life and so are children! I love volunteering at the school and coaching sports. To me Singer's Company goes beyond both of those pursuits to serve and is an even better opportunity to help bless the lives of young girls. It helps girls to develop talents, have fun in a creative, noncompetitive environment, and reinforces how special each one of them is. It also shows them how wonderful and happy life is when you add music, friendship, and positivity!

Schooling:

I have a BA in Humanities from Brigham Young University.
